Brittany McRae


rittany is a Senior Instructional Designer with over 15 years experience in education. She is passionate about creating educational experiences that encourage adult learners to build on their previous experience allowing them to apply their learning in contextually relevant scenarios. She believes that sustained learning is best achieved when a learner can choose their own path to success by applying new learning to their everyday work.

She has spent the last six years at Queen’s University as an Instructional Designer supporting curriculum development and faculty-wide teaching and learning initiatives. She also teaches two online courses in the Instructional Design Certificate program at St. Lawrence College and OntarioLearn.

Brittany is a Canadian Certified Instructional Designer who holds a BEd. from the University of Alberta, an MEd. in Educational Leadership and Management and an International Baccalaureate Certificate in Teaching and Learning from Royal Roads University, and a Graduate Diploma in Instructional Design from Athabasca University. She maintains currency as an Ontario Certificated Teacher and a Higher Education Peer Reviewer with the Quality Matters Framework organization since 2020.
